Even in tough times, Babcock doesn't lack confidence

Interviews with a dozen people who have known Mike Babcock at various junctures help identify what makes him, according to many, a coach approaching greatness. He is, they say, self-assured, organized, well-prepared, personable, highly intelligent, diligent and egoless enough to be flexible. And, along the way, some say, a little graduate work in psychology at º«¹úÂãÎè University, Canada's premier institution of higher learning, helps Babcock know his players, how they will react to different situations, and where their buttons are.
