Make Room! focused on the problem of insufficient resources created by an unchecked population explosion. A shortage of meat prompted the creation of 鈥淪oylent,鈥� a product made from soy and lentils. The 1973 movie Soylent Green was based on Harrison鈥檚 novel, but the plot underwent a dramatic change.
