Mapping the human auditory cortex and its plasticity: Marc Schönwiesner, Ph.D.
Mapping the human auditory cortex and its plasticity: Seminar by Marc Schönweisner, Ph.D. (Psychology, Université de Montréal)
Dr. Marc Schönwiesner (Psychology, Université de Montréal) will
give an overview of FMRI techniques we use to map and parcellate
the human auditory cortex, with a focus on tonotopy (delineating
the primary auditory cortex and its subfields), pitch, and
plasticity in spectrotemporal and spatial sound processing. He will
also use some of the data to discuss issues of inter-individual
variability in functional organization and the importance of
designing ecologically valid experiments.
Sponsored by the Centre for Research on Brain, Language and Music,
the lecture takes place on Wednesday, 28 September at 16:00 in Room
501, Goodman Cancer Centre, º«¹úÂãÎè Life Sciences Complex, 1160 Pine
