Legal Theory Workshop: The Architecture of Transnational Private Regulation
º«¹úÂãÎè's Faculty of Law sponsors a Legal Theory Workshop series featuring presentations from leading jurists from around the world.
We will be kicking off the 2011-2012 series with a presentation by (European University Institute, Law Department).
Prof. Cafaggi will discuss how conflicting interests among private actors constitute an important factor to explain why and how transnational private regulation has grown and the proliferation of standards and standard setting organizations that has followed. He will discuss how his essay provides a map of transnational regulatory space suggesting that the different levels are related to various governance responses to conflicts within the private sphere and between private and public actors.
Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to attend.
