Michael Cowan teaches in the German Studies Department at º«¹úÂãÎè
University. His research examines the intersections between film,
literature, science and the history of the body in the German
speaking world.
Recent publications include Cult of the Will: Nervousness and
German Modernity (2008), Rhythm and Body in Weimar Cinema
and Fritz Lang's Metropolis (2007) and Images without a
Cameraman: Remaking the Weimar City Film in Harun Farocki
(forthcoming).
