Professor Nick Moore Acumen, UK Visiting Professor in Information Strategy University of Brighton, will be speaking on "Information Policy: The Developing Asian Framework."

The emergence of information-based societies is one of the defining characteristics of the early twenty-first century. A combination of social, economic, cultural and political responses to technological change is the way we work, learn, socialise and play. This emergence has been driven by policy and nowhere is this process of policy-formation more apparent than in Asia. Based on recent research commissioned by UNESCO, Nick Moore will analyse the developing pattern of information policies across Asia and will try to identify the lessons for us in the developed West.
